Obituary for William Jack Freeman

William J. (Bill) Freeman, loving husband, father and grandpa went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2020.


Born January 16, 1929 in Abilene Texas, he was the second child of Vanus and Pearl Nelson Freeman.


He graduated Abilene High School, attended ACC, then went on to serve in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. After his return to Texas he married Phyllis Taylor Freeman in 1953 and went on to graduate from Ranger Junior Collage in 1957, where he received an Associate in Arts degree.


He was an employee of the Abilene Post Office for 30 years as a Letter Carrier and served on the board of the National Association of Letter Carrier's Union.


Bill was proceeded in death by his parents and four siblings.
Survivors include his beloved wife Phyllis, his son Randy Freeman of Abilene, daughter and son in law Becky and Brian Bradshaw of Plano TX, daughter Tonya Hensens of Plano TX, grandson Derek Hensens of Frisco TX and granddaughter Lauren Hensens of Portland OR, and 12 nieces and nephews.


Graveside services will be Tuesday July 28, 2020 at 11 am at the Veterans Cemetery in Abilene TX with Brother Louis Johnson officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family ask you send a donation to Hendricks Hospice Care.
