Abilene, TX

Felipe Johnston Aguero Sr, 71, passed away Friday, January 10, 2020. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church with Father Emilio Sosa officiating. Burial will follow at Abilene Municipal Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home.
Felipe was born July 08,1948, in Abilene, Texas to Pedro and Guadalupe Aguero Sr. Felipe started working for Martin Sprocket & Gear, June 1981 until his retirement on September 2014, after 33 years. He was a hard working man and family was important to him and you could always find him telling a good joke. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
Felipe was preceded in death by his father Pedro Aguero Sr.; son: Pablo Aguero; two brothers: Pablo Aguero and Pedro Aguero Jr. and sister Eugenia Lopez.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother Guadalupe J. Aguero; three sons: Felipe G. Aguero Jr. and wife Kristyn of Waco, Marcos Aguero and wife Sonia and Joe Rudy Aguero and wife Connie both of Abilene; Daughter: Elvira Aguero; four brothers: Juan Aguero and wife Josephina of Dallas; Nacho Aguero and wife Linda, Joe Aguero and Jacinto and wife Luz Maria all of Abilene; three sisters: Lupita Arispe and husband Eliseo of Dallas, Shell Hernandez and Lucy Cervantes both of Abilene, 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Northwest Church of Christ, 1141 N. Willis Street. With the reading of the rosary at 6:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Tino Arispe, Marcos Gaona, Nacho Aguero, Eliseo Arispe, Andrew Gaona and Nico Aguero. Honorary Pallbearer will be Joe Aguero.
